Warriors Den Empty
PostSubject: Re: Warriors Den   Warriors Den EmptyThu Feb 14, 2013 12:06 pm

Rosella approached the warriors den and sniffed around to detect any scents hat could've embarked by. She flicked her tail and glanced, scratching at the wall of the side, sniffing the engravment of claws that struck the side lightly. She arranged the den site and remembered how Fang got injured a bit from the attack of the feline and from the lone male. She walked around and tried to gather some debris from the ground, biting and tearing some grass with her maw and taking it back. She found some feathers of a near by tree, normally birds wouldn't land on he ground as often, but the black lining would do for comfort. Once satisfied she nudged it around the inside with her broad snout, allowing the injury to not be dangling or be uncomfortable for the wounds to naturally heal.

She crawled out of the mouth of the den backwards and shook out the dust and gritty sand from her coat and twitched out her paws, now allowing fang to be in a more comfortable position than he would've been.
"I made a proper bedding for your independent self and with your injury, not sure if it seems minor or not. Unlike Jay's I'll have to see how he's with his leg". She inspected his wound closely, having her paws planted on the ground and shook her had slightly adding on, "We'll see how you feel in the morning. For right now I suggest you get some rest" she dipped her head.

Fang entered the den area shortly after Rosella. He watched with curiosity as she retrieved some nearby supplies and took them into the den. His receptors heard sounds of scratching and rustling coming from inside and, a moment later, his alphess reappeared through the entrance.

Fang listened to her words as she explained the bedding she had prepared for him. He was used to sleeping in the open and using his banner to shield his nose from the cold, but there was no way he would refuse her kindness after the trouble she went through preparing the place.

"Thank you, Alphess Rosella," he spoke. "As I said previously, my wounds are no cause for concern. I've had much worse. That said," he continued with a brief wag of his tail and a smile on his canine face, "I am sure they will heal even faster now that I can rest comfortably. You are too kind."

Suddenly remembering what had transpired earlier, Fang looked away briefly, then turned back and hung his head slightly before continuing.

"I hope you can forgive me for my prior conduct. As your warrior, I am supposed to protect you and the rest of the pack from harm. However, when it came time to do just that, it was you who had to step in to help me. I am sorry, and hope that I can find a way to prove myself useful."

Having said what he had to say, Fang raised his head, padded a few steps closer to the entrance to the den, and lowered his hind to the ground. Out of respect for his leader and not wanting to display any further weakness, he chose to wait until after she had left the area before entering the den.

"I know, it's your duty to protect the pack". she said with words of honesty and grace as she started to move away from the den and shake out her pelt more. She paused and glanced over her shoulder, "I forgive you, no worries though you'll learn more yourself than what you may learn from your leader" she arose her head slightly to show that she is right and nodded her head as she looked towards the clearing.

Soon enough after she spoken her words, Rosella embarked away from the den at ease and decided to go quench he thirst at the lake across the forest grounds and ver the slopes. She held her head below her haunches and started to pad off with a quickened lope.

Warriors Den Empty

As Rosella left his visual range, Fang turned to enter the den. The narrow entrance required him to squeeze his shoulders together to fit through, but he managed to crawl down to a larger chamber containing some grass and feathers. At once, he realized that this was the bedding area that his alphess had prepared for him.

This chamber was large enough for him to actually stand up in, and Fang used the extra space to turn around a few times before collapsing in a ball amid the soft bedding. As was his habit, Fang curled his banner around his nose even though the wind could not reach this interior room. He closed his eyes and began to drift off to sleep.

Thoughts poured through his head as Fang drifted off. This had been a very eventful day. He had joined a new family and learned the scents of all of his new family members. He seemed to get along with just about everyone, though he was determined not to submit to the sniper if he was attacked again. He hadn't eaten anything all day, but he was feeling more tired than hungry. Fang resolved to find some food upon awakening from his slumber, and then drifted off into a light, restful sleep.

((Sorry for the double post - I didn't want to appear inactive))

As Fang slumbered, he drifted into a deeper state of rest. He began to dream of a vast meadow with bountiful caribou and tall grass. He stood alone in the meadow, watching the caribou graze.

His very real hunger was influencing his dream state, and the unconscious Fang was hunting for prey in his sleep. He crept through the tall grass, his orbs locked on a young bull with a slight limp in its right hind leg. As he neared the prey, a loud bleat went up from the nearby leader of the herd. Fang had been spotted.

((Dream to be continued in later posts unless Fang is awoken by something.))
